Stadtwerk.Regensburg GmbH switches to solar energy with VODASUN

Regensburg, 29 September 2023– Stadtwerk.Regensburg GmbH has entrusted the renowned solar provider VODASUN from Munich with the realisation of a pioneering solar energy project.
In a strategic partnership between the VODASUN Group and Stadtwerk.Regensburg GmbH, the Westbad and the Donau-Arena in Regensburg are being equipped with state-of-the-art solar systems in order to intensify the use of renewable energies and minimise the ecological impact.
The Westbad, an extremely popular multifunctional pool in the heart of western Regensburg, will soon be equipped with an impressive 612 solar modules that will generate a total output of 166 kWp. At the same time, the Donau Arena, a versatile multi-purpose hall in the Weichs district of Regensburg, which is used for a wide range of events such as ice hockey, ice skating, trade fairs and concerts, will benefit from this visionary project. A total of 2,390 solar modules with an installed capacity of 1,039 kWp will be installed on the roofs of the Westbad and the Donau-Arena in Regensburg.
The impact of this project extends far beyond improving sustainability, as it will contribute significantly to reducing operating costs while minimising environmental footprints.
